Hardscape Crew Leader — Full-Time Seasonal
Idaho | Full-Time | Seasonal | Pay: $25/hour DOE
About TerraVita
TerraVita Landscape and Gardening builds durable, beautiful outdoor spaces across Idaho. Our mission is simple and lived daily:
Create. Nurture. Sustain.
We are craftsmanship-driven, safety-focused, and proud of the work we leave behind. Our hardscape team installs patios, retaining walls, stone features, and structural landscape elements that are built to last in Idaho’s climate.
The Role
We’re hiring a Hardscape Crew Leader to lead installation crews building patios, walkways, pavers, retaining walls, steps, and stone features.
This is a hands-on team leadership role for someone who understands hardscape construction, takes pride in precision work, and can confidently guide a small crew (typically 2 team members) to complete projects safely, efficiently, and professionally.
You set the tone on the jobsite — for quality, pace, safety, and professionalism.
What You’ll Do
Field Team Leadership
• Lead daily hardscape installation work and assign tasks to crew members
• Train crew members in proper installation techniques and safety practices
• Maintain a professional, organized jobsite
• Communicate clearly with the Operations Manager or Project Manager
Hardscape Installation
• Layout and build patios, walkways, and paver systems
• Construct retaining walls, steps, and structural landscape elements
• Excavate, grade, and prepare subgrade and base materials
• Ensure proper compaction, drainage, and installation standards
Quality Control
• Ensure finished work meets TerraVita’s craftsmanship standards
• Check elevations, alignment, and final details before completion
• Maintain clean, client-ready job sites each day
Equipment & Materials
• Operate and oversee safe use of compactors, saws, and power equipment
• Manage material staging and efficient labor flow
• Track materials and communicate needs to management
Safety Matters Here (Safety-Critical Role)
Hardscape work involves excavation, heavy materials, power equipment, and cutting tools. Crew Leaders must actively enforce safety standards.
You must ensure your crew:
• Wears required PPE (boots, gloves, eye/ear protection, hi-vis when required)
• Follows dust control rules (wet cutting / respiratory protection when needed)
• Uses safe lifting and equipment operation practices
• Maintains awareness of jobsite hazards at all times
Schedule & Pay
Full-Time Seasonal
Pay: $25/hour DOE
