About TerraVita

TerraVita Landscape and Gardening maintains and enhances beautiful outdoor spaces across Idaho. Our mission is simple and lived daily:
Create. Nurture. Sustain.
We combine thoughtful planning, skilled craftsmanship, and disciplined field execution. We operate with a Gold Standard mindset — quality work, strong leadership, safe practices, and long-term client relationships.

The Role

We’re hiring a Garden Crew Leader to lead our garden maintenance routes and specialty plant care work.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows plants, takes pride in details, and can confidently guide a small crew (typically 2–3 team members) to complete work efficiently, safely, and professionally.
You will set the tone on job sites — for quality, pace, safety, and client interaction.

What You’ll Do

Field Leadership
● Lead daily garden maintenance routes and assign work clearly to crew members
● Set expectations for quality, efficiency, and professionalism
● Train entry-level crew members on proper techniques
● Ensure properties are left clean, crisp, and TerraVita-ready
Garden & Plant Care
● Direct and perform detailed weeding and bed maintenance
● Prune shrubs, ornamental trees, and perennials properly
● Deadhead, shape, and maintain plant presentation
● Apply mulch to proper depth and maintain clean bed edges
● Identify plant stress, pests, disease, and irrigation concerns
● Communicate property notes and improvement needs to management
Operations & Equipment
● Manage daily tool load-in and load-out
● Ensure trucks and equipment remain organized and maintained
● Track basic materials usage (mulch, amendments, etc.)
● Maintain route timing and productivity standards
Client Interaction
● Represent TerraVita professionally on-site
● Address basic client questions respectfully
● Escalate concerns or scope changes to management

What We’re Looking For

● 2+ years of garden or landscape maintenance experience preferred
● Prior crew leadership or foreman experience strongly preferred
● Solid plant identification and pruning knowledge
● Reliable attendance and strong time management
● Ability to give clear direction and hold team members accountable
● Comfortable working outdoors in Idaho weather
● Professional communication and client-facing presence
● Valid driver’s license preferred

Schedule & Pay

● Pay: $22–$28/hour DOE
● Seasonal position with strong potential for recurring annual leadership role
● Full-time hours during peak season
● Schedule may shift based on weather and workload

Safety & Professional Standards

● PPE is required. Safety is non-negotiable.
● No chemical application unless licensed and specifically authorized.
● Crew leaders are responsible for enforcing TerraVita safety standards in the field.

TerraVita Landscape and Gardening is an equal opportunity employer.
If you take pride in beautiful gardens, lead by example, and want to grow with a company that values professionalism and craftsmanship — we’d like to meet you.
