The Role
We’re hiring a Brick & Stone Mason to construct high-quality hardscape and masonry features including paver patios/walkways, retaining walls, stone veneer, flagstone, steps, seat walls, and fire features. You’ll work with a strong crew, quality tools, and clear standards—built for Idaho freeze–thaw and drainage realities.
What You’ll Do
- Install pavers, brick, and stone to line/level with clean cuts and tight tolerances
- Build retaining walls with correct embedment, drainage, backfill, and stabilization
- Prep subgrade/base and compact to standard
- Install edge restraints, jointing materials, and finish compaction
- Support veneer stone and feature builds (pillars, kitchens, walls, fire features)
- Keep a clean, organized jobsite and communicate needs/issues to your lead
- Document progress with photos/notes as directed
Safety Matters Here (Safety-Critical Role)
This job includes power tools, heavy materials, and dust control. You must be willing to:
- Follow PPE requirements (boots, eye/ear protection, gloves, respirator/dust mask as required)
- Use wet cutting/dust control practices
- Lift safely and keep cutting zones protected
- Report hazards/near misses immediately
What We’re Looking For
- Mid level masonry/hardscape experience (or strong competency and trainability)
- Pride in craftsmanship and willingness to meet high standards
- Reliability, teamwork, and professionalism on client properties
- Ability to work outdoors in Idaho weather conditions
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Outdoor work in heat/cold/dust/weather
- Frequent lifting and carrying (often up to ~80 lbs)
- Standing/kneeling/bending on uneven terrain
- Working around saws, compactors, and cutting equipment
Pay & Schedule
- Full-Time
- Pay:$25-30/hour or $/52,000-62,400/year DOE
- Overtime may be available during peak season per business needs and applicable law
